Indian Standard IS 13252 is identical to IEC 60950-1: 2005 which includes specifications with respect to, “Information technology equipment — Safety — Part 1: General requirements.” This International Standard was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in accordance with the recommendations of the Computer Hardware, Peripherals and Identification Cards Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.
