FoSCoS becomes more user friendly the addition of websites in regional languages | FOSCOS new update
News Release
Nov. 14, 2023, New Delhi: Launching the Food Safety Compliance System (FoSCoS) portal in different regional languages is a major move taken by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) towards improving accessibility and user experience. In addition to Hindi and English, the portal is currently accessible in Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, and Marathi. Kannada, Punjabi, Malayalam, Assamese, Bengali, and Odia will be added shortly.
The most recent development attempts to improve the way local food businesses interact with the FSSAI's online compliance platform, FoSCoS, by making it easier for them to do so. The goal of this endeavor is to enable a larger group of users, encouraging more engagement and improving general adherence along the food chain.
Since its statewide launch in 2020, FOSCOS Registration has quickly developed into a crucial platform for food companies and regulatory bodies, simplifying all compliance-related tasks. The system has been instrumental in the digital revolution of multiple food safety procedures, streamlining compliance with regulations for food establishments across the country.
Recently, the FoSCoS portal was launched in Hindi by FSSAI to commemorate Hindi Diwas, which is commemorated on September 14, 2023.
The linguistic diversity of the portal, in the opinion of FSSAI, will solidify FoSCoS's position as a crucial instrument in the regulatory landscape and advance the country's transition to a safer and more compliant food ecosystem.
